The summit of Mont dol culminates at 65 metres. It offers a magnificent panoramic view of the bay of Mont St Michel, from Cancale to Granville on one side and Dol de bretagne withs its ancient Cathedral of Saint Samson on the other...In olden days the sea entirely covered the marsh land which exists today. As an adolescent, Chateaubriand studied at Dol de Bretagne and often walked along the country footpaths which still exist today. A region perfect for ramblers : walkers arrive from Dol via the GR 34 across the marshland.. For cyclists : take the cycle path of the Mont-st-Michel Bay, the circuit is indicated and gives routes of 30 to 62 km around the marshland of Dol.
